A Dream and a Calling

… I was a child with a very active imagination, constantly creating stories and scenarios in my head. I dreamer at heart, if I were to say it myself. The dreams changed from wanting to become a backup dancer in a Disney movie, to a doctor on the mission field in Africa. In middle school I wanted to be a teacher, but in high school I thought I would become a journalist. It wasn’t until adulthood that I decided to pursue a career in ministry, and seek to live my life for God.

Little children are often dreamers, because deep down they believe that nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible. The Bible talks about faith, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 18:3).

I am a firm believer that as we seek to do the will of the Father, and do good works, the Holy Spirit will equip us to do the good work that He desires us to do. This year, this new journey is exciting for me. Like a little kid with hopes and dreams, I embark in this season of learning, growing, developing new skills, and dreaming about all the things God might have for me next.

I am blessed to work at a place that encourages dreams, good work, and fulfilling the call that God has put in my heart. How about you? What good works and dreams do you have? How can you start your good work today?
